Development of Misfit Galaxy has been completely funded by founder Sam Stebbins. The Genesis Augmentation Pack gives us additional support for one of the most expensive parts of the game: massive structures, station biomes, and fully designed environments.

We want stations that feel different the moment players arrive, with exterior silhouettes that are recognizable from space and interiors that give each station its own personality, flow, and atmosphere.

Stations like this are not cheap to model, texture, light, optimize, and bring into the live game. Revenue from this sale helps pay for that production work.

I wanted to personally explain why we decided to open the Genesis Augmentation Pack.

We believe our custom Clone system is one of the most unique features we have built for Misfit Galaxy. This is not a presale, a promise for something years away, or a purchase where you are waiting for the game to eventually launch. Misfit Galaxy is playable today.

With this pack, you are not just buying a character image. The Firstborn title is our way of labeling and honoring the players who supported this system at the beginning. The premium access is meant to make this feel like a true Genesis reward, with long-term NFT-bound benefits across the game including lower marketplace fees, boosted Port Authority profits, lower module crafting CROWN costs, and lower clone augmenting CROWN costs.

When you purchase your custom Clone, we work with you on the design, both parties approve the final concept, and your Clone is delivered directly into the game within 10 business days.

Each Clone is tokenized on the blockchain, giving you true ownership, and can evolve beyond being purely cosmetic through our augmentation system, where you can develop and customize its stats over time.

I am self-funding Misfit Galaxy. We do not have a major publisher or a massive investor backing the project. Revenue from these packs helps alleviate some of that pressure and allows us to continue paying our team, operating our servers, building new systems, and shipping updates.
